Nickelodeon unveiled the first trailer for their newest ‘SpongeBob SquarePants’ movie, which features Bikini Bottom characters venturing out of the water and into life above sea level. Although the 3D looks pretty impressive at first glance, it’s also fairly weird to see the show’s animated characters – including SpongeBob, Patrick, Mr. Crabs, Sandy Squirrel and Squidward – in CGI form. I spent too many hours watching them in cartoon form to get used to this blasphemy.
‘The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie: Sponge Out Of Water’ is set to hit theaters on February 6th of next year.
