Drake’s very public pursuit of women’s basketball star Skylar Diggins has been well-documented online over the past few months. It all started when Drake posted a picture of Diggins to his Instagram account back in May with the caption “Amen.”
Then, a month later, Drake uploaded a photo of himself wearing a Diggins shersey:
Drake’s admiration apparently didn’t sit well with Diggins’ ACTUAL boyfriend, who proceeded to upload a photo of himself with the basketball star and tag Drake in the caption.
All of this Instagram drama came to a head during a skit on Wednesday night at the ESPYs, where Diggins finally confronted Drake about his obsession with her after he recited an original poem she inspired. Diggins agreed to give the rapper one kiss to make it all go away and that’s when the sparks started to fly…literally.
The moment was all for show but, for what it’s worth, Drake and Diggins appeared to get along quite well backstage as well.
