1) The Refereeing

Joachim Löw has been living in a bubble in Brazil, oblivious to the doubts and demands in Germany.

The Brazil vs. Colombia clash — the game that saw Neymar’s World Cup run come to an end — was an out of control affair that should have been settled down by the referee. Instead, the ref let the two teams go at it. There were a total of 54 fouls in the game.

Germany is hoping that isn’t the case in today’s game. Germany’s manager, Joachim Löw, has urged Mexican referee Marco Rodríguez to “clamp down on the kind of things we saw last Friday.”

We’ll see how Rodríguez and his crew handles the match if things begin to get out of hand.
