The biting incident and subsequent suspension for Uruguay’s Luis Suarez has bombarded World Cup news, but instead of apologizing Suarez made things much worse after hilarious claims of imbalance last week.
Despite the heinous act, to which he finally admitted guilt on Monday, his nine match and four month ban has been met with mixed feelings, even from the Italians. Uruguay has done nothing to hide their feelings and that continued when President Jose Mujica lashed out during an impromptu interview on Sunday.
“The FIFA is a bunch of sons of bitches,” Mujica told Sergio Gorzy of Uruguayan National Television. The president immediately grabbed his mouth like an embarrassed child, knowing those remarks will cause waves across the world. Gorzy kindly asked if he should publish the comments, to which Mujica responded without remorse.
“Publish it, if it’s up to me. They could have punished him without these fascist sanctions.”
