Eight years ago, Bomani Jones wrote a column for ESPN titled “Why Donald Sterling’s Racism Should Be News” which, in the grand scheme of things, went under-covered. Now that Sterling’s racism has finally become headline-worthy because of some tapes released by his girlfriend, Jones is extremely fired up that Sterling’s most harmful acts of discrimination were largely ignored prior to this latest controversy.

Jones appeared as a guest on Dan Le Betard’s show yesterday, where he went on a brilliant and emotional 11-minute evisceration of Sterling and those who failed to pay attention to his racism before TMZ picked up the story that shook the NBA.
