The Stanley Cup playoffs and Game of Thrones are currently throttling the “What’s Hot?” pop culture meter at the moment, so one graphic designer decided to embark on a project that combines the two.
Rachel L. Cohen, a Capitals fan and an illustrator from Washington D.C., decided to make a ‘Game of Thrones’ style shield/sigil for each NHL team…and the results are outstanding. I have a feeling that a lot of hockey fans would be interested in purchasing this as a poster if she decided to sell prints.
Even more impressive than the results? She finished the entire thing in one week.
Check them out below, and be sure to visit Cohen’s Tumblr page to check out more of her work.
