New York Yankees v Tampa Bay Rays

13. James Loney, First Baseman

Status: Re-signed by the Tampa Bay Rays to a three-year deal worth $21 million

Perhaps nobody improved their stock over the course of the past year more than Loney. Loney took a one-year deal from the Rays last offseason after a forgettable season split between Los Angeles and Boston and proceeded to hit .299, the highest batting average of his career since his rookie campaign in 2007. Loney’s 2013 production should be enough to net him a multi-year deal this time around.
