Defensive ends, wide receivers, and defensive tackles are ranked second, fourth, and sixth respectively in highest average player salary by position.  Furthermore, the University of Georgia currently has the most defensive ends in the league with seven, Miami with the most wide outs with six, and LSU with the most defensive tackles with four.  So what does this mean?  If you’re one of those three positions either from the South or going to school in the South, you have a better chance than most of making a nice living in the NFL.
