(FILE) One Direction Star Louis Tomlinson Signs For Doncaster Rovers

Louis Tomlinson, who I’m told is a singer in One Direction, has signed with Doncaster Rovers of the SkyBet Football League Championship. The 21-year-old pop icon signed as a non-contract player and will most likely feature for the reserve squad.

Doncaster Rovers have signed the One Direction singer Louis Tomlinson. The 21-year-old, who was born in Doncaster but has never played higher than Sunday league football, has been given the No28 squad number for the 2013-14 season and is likely to appear for the team’s reserves after signing as a non-contract player in aid of Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice in Sheffield.

Tomlinson told the Championship club’s website: “This has always been a childhood dream for me.” Tomlinson previously appeared for the club in a charity game in aid of Bluebell Wood Hospice. He added: “I feel very honoured to have been asked to sign for Rovers and being able to help both the

Tomlinson has been a Rovers supporter his whole life and calls the move a dream come true. There are rumors that Doncaster is about to be sold, so one has to believe that this move means the club’s value can only go in one direction. (sorry).
