Anderson Silva is as big of a star as it gets in Brazil, and the video below is a great reminder of just how big. Silva recently was captured on camera visiting a young kid who suffers from a bone condition called ‘Legg-Calve-Perthes syndrome.’ The bone condition has been the cause for two leg surgeries, one hip surgery, and the wheelchair which you can see in the video, all in just a 9 month span. The video was uploaded by the kid’s doctor, Dr. Eduardo Picanc, and it shows Silva making quite the emotional surprise visit.

Silva had this to say to the 12-year-old:

“Let me tell you something: You’ll need to do something very important for everyone. You’ll have to work hard so you can get better very soon. ‘Minotauro’ had the same problem, and he’s fighting again. Got it? So you have to work hard. I talked to the doctor. He’ll talk to ‘Minotauro’s’ doctor to see if she can help you, too. That way you’ll get back to training as soon as possible. OK? Cool?

“… Let’s get better fast so we can train. It’s a date. We’ll train when you get better.”
