Kelly Gneiting is a 400lb (varying reports have him weighing in at 405lbs and 430lbs) man who has more will than you and I combined. This past Sunday he participated and finished in the LA marathon which stretched from downtown Los Angeles and ended 26.1 miles later at the beach.

According to the LA Times, the sumo wrestler (yep, 3-time US sumo champion) set the Guinness world record for being the heaviest person to finish a marathon. He finished the long haul with a time of 9:48:52.

“I did it, but it was hell. Pure hell,” Gneiting told the Los Angeles Times.

The previous record was 275 pounds, and beat his personal best of 11:52:11.
