According to a recent article published by Fox News, NASA astrobiologist Dr. Richard B. Hoover discovered fossilized evidence of extraterrestrial, microbial life. During Hoover’s research, he fractured an “extremely rare class of meteorites, called CI1 carbonaceous chondrites,” and his team discovered evidence of various microbes that were both earth-like and completely foreign. He asserts that such findings indicate that life must have existed on the meteorite before reaching earth, proving that life is not unique to our planet. This unbelievable discovery may be one of the most momentous in history, so Hoover and his colleagues are undergoing an extremely lengthy vetting process before officially publishing their findings in the Journal of Cosmology.

Fox News has dropped the ball before, but we are hoping their reportage is accurate this time around.

UPDATE:

Gawker is calling BS on Fox News. In our mad world, I don’t know who to believe more — a website that stays afloat from dong shots…or Fox News. Instead of getting my Phd in astrobiology over the past seven I learned how to embed youtube videos, so I’ll leave this one up to the professionals.
