While the Cosby Sweaters ground forces make their way to Las Vegas to bring you every minute of the 2011 Consumer Electronics Show back here at Cosby Sweaters HQ we’ll be keeping an eye on the interwebs to keep you updated.

To get things started here’s a rundown from around the series of tubes on some of the stories on CES 2011 Eve:

  • In Mobile phones the Sony Ericcson  Xperia Arc was leaked with both imagery and information.  The Arc runs Android 2.3 [Gingerbread] and feature 4.2-inch display with 854 × 480 resolution, 8-megapixel rear-facing camera with Exmor R back-illuminated sensor, and Sony Mobile Bravia technology and is less than a CM thick at it’s narrowest point.  Full details and more pics available from erictric.

  • Verizon announced an array of new supported products including 4G phones from LG (Revolution) and HTC (Thunderbolt), the Xoom Android tablet from Motorola and the Samsung Galaxy Tab.  The biggest news from Verizon thus far may have been their non-announcement of an agreement with Apple to support the iPhone which has been widely expected.  Get a deeper recap of their press conference from Examiner.
  • The Microsoft press conference was mostly smaller updates with no real blockbuster announcement.  The Avatar update and related X360 and Kinect stats were an eye catcher worth reading about.  You can get a full rundown from Gadgetell.
  • If you’re suffering from tablet fatigue here’s a guide to some of the big tech trends that includes four non-tablet points of interest from USA Today.

CES is a marathon not a sprint so we’ll cut if off there to keep from burning anyone out before things even get started.  Keep checking back with CosbyTech for all the latest.
