The NFL is often referred to as the “No Fun League” because of all the rules they enforce and fines they hand out. Well, someone took the time to track all those fines from the past season and organize a power rankings list for the most fined teams in the league in 2012.

The Yankees and Dodgers, two of Major League Baseball’s most storied franchises, will begin an interleague series on Wednesday afternoon. The two teams have some history, they’ve met 11 times in the World Series, with the last one taking place in 1981.

The official Twitter accounts for both teams decided to engage in some trash talking before the series and each side landed a few jabs on their opponent. Was this planned to hype up the series? Probably, but it’s still pretty funny nonetheless.

The Red Sox’ Johnny Gomes hit a walk-off home run during the second game of their doubleheader against the Rays on Tuesday, but it was the celebration which deserved the real praise. I was unable to be near Twitter while watching Game 6 on Tuesday night, and when LeBron James ditched his headband I definitely was having withdrawals. LeBron got rid of his headband after it was knocked off during the 4th quarter and immediately took over the game. Win or lose Gregg Popovich can always be counted on for a very concise and uncomfortable postgame press conference. Not surprisingly, after the Spurs lost Game 6 of the NBA Finals to the Heat, Pop was back to his old tricks. Q. How did you guys lose the game, was it the turnovers? It was veteran guys getting tired? A mix of it?

Q. Did you take into consideration fouling up by three with the final seconds of regulation?

Q. Coach, what do you do for Game 7? How do you get your guys into Game 7?
COACH GREGG POPOVICH: Get them on a bus, it arrives at the ramp over here, we get off the bus, we get on the court and we play. That’s how we get ready.

Q. Coach, after this disappointing loss, how angry or how fired up do you think you guys will come with greater intensity? Because you guys had the lead and it was basically in the bag.
COACH GREGG POPOVICH: So what’s your question? You want to know how angry we’ll be?

Q. Yes. How much more intensity? That was your championship.
COACH GREGG POPOVICH: We were very intense, and so was Miami. And I don’t have any problem with our intensity.

Q. As far as Tim, was Tim tired? Because you look like you held him out fora point where it looked like he was dominating. Could you explain Tim’s fatigue? How is he doing?
COACH GREGG POPOVICH: Tim is no more tired than anybody else.

Q. Coach, could you talk about the impact Chris Andersen had today.
COACH GREGG POPOVICH: Chris is a real aggressive active player. And he does his best to play D and rebound and always does a pretty good job.

Earlier today, it was reported that Flo Rida’s manager, Freezy, was banned from American Airlines Arena for Games 6 and 7 of the NBA Finals, after Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich issued a request to the NBA. Pop has his reasons, none of which we actually know other than Pop gonna Pop. However, that didn’t stop Freezy from appearing on 104.3 The Ticket this morning to explain his side of the story:

“They were just telling me we had too much energy and the head coach complained about it,” Freezy claimed. “Them cats want an easy win. They ain’t used to that Miami Heat support right next to them in their ears.”

To be fair to Freezy, he’s correct in saying the Spurs are not used to that “Miami Heat support right next to them”, because that “support” often waits until roughly Game No. 95 before they start paying attention (and showing up to games on time). As for wanting an easy win, sure, the Spurs probably would like a repeat of Games 3 and 5. He continued:

“The Spurs are just scared,” he explained. “They’re scared of the energy. The Pacers were disrespectful. The Spurs don’t want that building to erupt around them. What I do to cheer for my team is no different than what Spike Lee does in New York or Jack Nicholson does in LA.”

We don’t know what was said exactly, but seeing a guy named Freezy mentioned in the same sentence as Spike Lee and Jack Nicholson regarding NBA fandom seems a little wrong. Anyway, the only thing the Spurs should really be scared of is this lady, because she might actually kill one of them if they’re not paying attention.
