There have been rumors of a possible Hendrix biopic of a long time, and those rumors are finally materializing. Andre 3000 will be taking on the role of the legendary musician in the new biopic “All Is By My Side,” set to start filming in Ireland in the next few weeks.  The film will be directed by John Ridley, who also wrote the screenplay. The film will focus on the earlier part of Hendrix’s career, mostly focusing on the time he spent in England in the mid 1960′s leading up to the release of his debut album “Are You Experienced.”

In the new issue of Rolling Stone, Gabel (lead singer of “punk” band Against Me!) comes out as transgender and reveals plans to start living life as a woman named Laura Jane Grace. I personally give major props to Gabel for this brave decision, and the band for supporting it. I can’t remember ever having heard of the lead singer of a band coming out as transgender. As alluded to before, their primary audience might not be one who would support this decision across the board, in my estimation. Hopefully this only widens the demographic of their fans, a group that I am now included in despite my indifference to their music. Her decision to come out publicly with her private battle comes at a crucial time in the fight for rights of LGBTQ folks…..here’s to hoping she gets love and credit for it.

Gabel opens up to Rolling Stone about gender dysmorphia, the decision to tell and stay with her wife, and the steps ahead towards gender reassignment. Gabel also discusses how this impacts the future of Against Me! and new record “Transgender Dysphoria Blues,” which tells the story of a transsexual prostitute. The article is in the new issue of Rolling Stone, on newsstands Friday.

1. Leon is turning into a man and has been working out.

2. Leon possibly has about 5% boy/man crush on Biebs (who doesn’t?) but 95% of him genuinely wants to take Biebs to prom as a bro only. I believe that now.

This Canadian man was arrested for public intoxication, and after pleading in the backseat of the police car for his freedom, decides to break out his own rendition of Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody.”  Even though I think most of the world has practiced singing this song at least 100 times, his drunken skills are nonetheless impressive.

Fortunately for us, this gem was caught on tape. Enjoy!

The space agency is looking for six people to eat space food and wear space suits for four months while living on a lava flow in Hawaii. The goal is to test the reactions people have to different foods, and which ones they prefer to consume regularly.

The money isn’t great, and it would have the potential to be a miserable experience, but how many people can say they worked for NASA? Four months of space life compared to years of getting laid might be a good tradeoff.

There are some stipulations: you must be an english speaker, a non-smoker, and have a bachelor’s degree in engineering, mathematics, computer science, or biological/physical science.

If you fit this profile, I say go for it!
