Houston Rockets forward P.J. Tucker is all about having a fresh pair of kicks. So much so, in fact, the 33-year-old estimates dropping roughly $200,000 on shoes alone on shoes over the past year.
In an interview with Complex’s Matt Welty, he was pushed on how much he’s spent on sneakers over the last year.
So how much?
I didn’t even look at the number this year. I’ll have to look at it during the summer.
If you had to make a rough estimate. $50,000? $100,000?
Probably close to $200K.
If that seems like a lot of money, it’s because it is. But, Tucker isn’t exactly short on cash.
Tucker’s made millions over his NBA career and signed a four-year deal with Houston worth $32 million in 2017. Spending 200K on shoes is just a blip of Tucker’s future earnings. Plus, expensive kicks will hold value and sometimes skyrocket in value. Think of it as an investment.
Tucker loves shoes and spends a lot on his collection. Good for him.
