Well, not as the Mickey Mouse Club but Club Mickey Mouse, because semantics. But the old variety show that made its debut in the 50’s and was around as late as the mid 90’s is coming back because everything from the 90’s is being revived.

This version won’t air on TV, however, because it will be exclusive to Facebook, and instead of a talent show like the original show was, this will be more of a reality show with a social media component, again because 2017.

Todrick Hall and Alisha Marie, who are people from social media you or I have never heard of will act as “guest mentors”, whatever that means, to guide along these kids to becoming talented social media artists and/or shills for the mouse, either way. The show will last for seven weeks and follow around the cast as they work on material of some kind, and you can follow their progress on Instagram and all of your favorite social media accounts.

For as much as I joke about how silly this is, the Mickey Mouse Club did kick start the careers of many young celebrities such as Justin Timberlake, Brittany Spears, Ryan Gosling and even Annette Funicello in the 50’s. So maybe one day soon, you’ll be hearing names such as… uh… whoever is on this show that some of you may have heard of in the past at one point, maybe.

If you want a taste of what you can expect from the 2017 version of the Mickey Mouse Club, here’s a preview. Watch it to your heart’s content.
