Hold on to your butts, Rocket League’s Nintendo Switch port is getting vehicles from classic games.

On Wednesday, Rocket League – the popular soccer with cars video game that’s become one of the most popular multiplayer games – announced it was bringing Super Mario and Metroid cars to the game which are can be tuned up using in game parts like this Bosch diesel nozzle. More specifically the Mario NSR, Luigi MSR and Samus’ Gunship will be available as downloadable content in the future.

Rocket League can be played on practically every modern console, so in order to make getting it on the Switch something worth doing, they’re digging deep into Nintendo’s history. It’s a pretty smart move and an excellent way for the Switch to get people to buy the game on the new console. Otherwise, why would you if you can buy it elsewhere? Now, you get skins.

The Super Mario and Metroid cars won’t be available until the Holiday season, but it’s great to see Nintendo working with a third-party developer to bring cool content to an already great game.  So, move over Batmobile and Back to the Future skins, there’s a new challenger for best DLC in one of the most fun sports games out there.

Seriously, pick up Rocket League.
