Beyonce is reportedly interested in becoming a part-owner of the for-sale Houston Rockets. TNT analyst Kenny Smith would love to see the music superstar join NBA ownership.

The former Rockets star caught up with TMZ and admitted he’d love to see Beyonce be a co-owner of the Rockets. He mentioned it would represent a great message for his daughters.

“I would love to see that,” Kenny tells TMZ Sports … “That would be something I look at my daughters and say, ‘Look, see you don’t have to be a part of the team. Own the team!”

Beyonce already inspires many people (especially young girls) across the globe. But, owning a basketball team would send a further positive message. Beyonce is a legend and having her spread her wings into the NBA realm would be awesome. I can’t imagine how much of an inspiration it would be for youngsters like Smith’s daughters.

There are few things I want more than to see Beyonce co-own the Houston Rockets. It would be amazing for numerous reasons, including the ones mentioned above. Whether it happens is unknown, but with all the endorsements and positivity regarding the reports, it would be a damn shame if it didn’t come to fruition. The NBA needs Beyonce.
