White Sox pitcher John Danks showed up for warmups before Friday’s game against the Twins dressed up like a leprechaun. Shockingly, this was not done of his own volition.
No, this was the product of a bet. Danks had made a wager with White Sox broadcaster Ed Farmer on last Saturday’s Texas-Notre Dame game. John (mis)placed his faith in Texas and when the Longhorns lost to the Fighting Irish by a score of 38-3 his fitting punishment was to don a leprechaun costume for warm ups.
The White Sox Twitter account made sure that Danks outfit wouldn’t go unnoticed.
