De’Andre Johnson spoke publicly for the first time since making a horrific, inexcusable mistake that derailed his football career.
The former Florida State quarterback was immediately dismissed from the team after video surfaced of him striking a woman at a Tallahassee bar. Tuesday on “Good Morning America,” the 19-year-old sat down with ABC News’ Michael Strahan to discuss the incident and was given an opportunity to apologize.
“I totally should have walked away, “Johnson told Strahan. “I’m sorry. I apologize to the lady in the incident, to her family … to my mother. I know I wasn’t raised that way.”
