The sport that slightly resembles a mix of lacrosse and field hockey is fast-paced and can be brutally barbarous if things get out of hand. The two Irish clubs quickly found themselves engage in a bloody battle after tensions rose during a recent match, leading to players using their sticks, or hurlies, as weapons:
