Oscar De La Hoya’s been running his mouth all month talking about a comeback, and how his body and mind feel right to get back in the ring after starting some light training. Floyd Mayweather took down De La Hoya via split decision back in 2007, and although there were talks of a rematch, it never happened. De La Hoya doesn’t really sound different than any other athlete who talks about coming out of retirement. Competing against peak-conditioned athletes at 42-years-old is tough and beating Mayweather won’t be any easier the second time around.
