bostick

It appears that the Green Bay Packers and reserve tight end Brandon Bostick have parted ways. The former undrafted free agent from little-known Newberry College has been a special teamer and caught nine passes for 123 and two touchdowns in three seasons. Normally the release of a backup tight end would slide under the national radar. However, he is still known as the guy who misplayed the NFC title game onside kick.

The botched play occurred when Bostick attempted to catch the kick when he was suppose to be blocking. Although the play certainly played a major role in the team’s meltdown, it was far from the only thing that ultimately led to their demise last month.

Many called for Bostick to be cut immediately following the game but the negative chatter has calmed down significantly over the last few weeks, with the majority of coherent fans realizing it was just one piece to a massive puzzle of failure.

For those of you still calling for his head and casting spells of doom upon him…grow up.
