Pete Frates, the former Boston College baseball player suffering from ALS and the inspiration behind the ‘Ice Bucket Challenge’ craze, celebrated his 30th birthday on Sunday in Foxboro. The Gillette Stadium crowd gave Frates a warm welcome during halftime of the Patriots-Bills game by singing Happy Birthday to him as he hung out on the field with Pats owner Bob Kraft and others.
It certainly looked like it indeed was a happy birthday for Pete.
New England, you guys can sing!!! Thank you all for the birthday wishes. 68,000 strong!
