Chicago BullsClearly, the Chicago Bulls were not content with the Oklahoma City Thunder snatching the title of “Most-Injured Team” in this young NBA season. As is tradition, the Bulls’ roster has basically doubled as an infirmary guest list, with the headliner being Derrick Rose, who has missed games due to sprained ankles and a hamstring injury. Joining him on the sideline the past few games has been the newly-acquired Pau Gasol, who is dealing with a calf injury. Kirk Hinrich — Rose’s backup — missed Friday’s game against the Blazers after suffering bruised ribs and a chest contusion Thursday night against the Sacramento Kings. During that Blazers game, Taj Gibson went down with a sprained ankle — his third sprained ankle in seven months. The team is being extra cautious and Taj isn’t even traveling for the remainder of their current Western Conference road trip while he gets evaluated back in Chicago.

Speaking of that road trip, the Bulls play in Utah Monday night — the fourth game in a five-game stretch during which they’ve been beaten handily by their last two opponents. Here’s Monday’s official injury report, from K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune:
