As we continue to roll through absurd overreactions for the Cavaliers 1-3 start, let’s welcome Bill Simmons and Mike Golic to the stand. The former compared LeBron James’ struggles to that of Albert Pujols when he signed the massive deal with the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, basically questioning whether or not this is the beginning of the end for King James.

Mike Golic found that to be insane and gave his refreshing opinion on the highly controversial sports personality:

Prior to these comments on The Herd, Bill Simmons gave additional reasoning behind the opinion, saying:

Anyone who thinks LeBron looks the same is fooling themselves. He doesn’t have the same impulsiveness. He looks 20 pounds lighter physically. Just his general force-of-natureness capacity — whatever you want to say — it’s not there. And he’s driving to the basket, and he’s under the rim now, and I don’t know what that means. I don’t know if he’s hurt, I don’t know if the big weight loss has affected his game or whatever. This is not a jump-to-conclusion thing. I have been watching this Cavs team since the preseason games started, and he does not look the same.

The back-and-forth will likely create a minimal amount of tension in Bristol but it’s unlikely to cause a significant stir. However, it will be interesting to keep tabs on the Cavs situation to see if others lash out at the serious overreactions.
