Isaiah ThomasIsaiah Thomas is a point guard who is most-known for being the NBA’s version of Mr. Irrelevant, but also as someone who defied all expectations in becoming a 20-points-per-game scorer with the Sacramento Kings. Thomas, or “IT”, as he is called, signed a 4-year, $27 million contract with the Phoenix Suns this off season, and will be the third component of the Suns’ three-pronged point guard assault alongside Eric Bledsoe and Goran Dragic.

Obviously, the Suns’ Isaiah shares the exact same name as Hall of Famer Isiah Thomas, save for one difference: the extra “a” in the first name of the younger Thomas. Still, considering the two point guards’ careers came decades apart, it’d be pretty hard to confuse the two, right? Apparently not. If you go to Isaiah‘s NBA.com profile, you’ll see a banner with his photo and stats…and a video playlist of the elder Isiah waxing nostalgic about playing back in the 1980 and early ’90s.
