One of the most anticipated annual sneaker traditions is set to go down next week when Nike unveils this year’s Nike x Doernbecher Freestyle collection.

The Doernbecher project began in 2004 as a way to raise money for the Doernbecher Children’s Hospital in Portland, Oregon. Each year, Nike pairs up with children who have survived serious illnesses and allows those kids to design sneakers which are then sold to the public. Proceeds go towards the hospital. It’s a pretty great cause and there have definitely been some quality designs to come out of the Doernbecher series.

And now, we have what could be the first leaked image of a 2014 Doernbecher sneaker. This sneaker looks like it uses the Air Jordan VIII as its base and the outsole features an icy blue overlay with a pretty sick illustration of a basketball on fire as a graphic. Based on a box image, it looks like these kicks will predominately feature blue, orange and black. The Air Jordan VIII isn’t one of the line’s most beloved models but that could definitely change if these turn out to be as nice as the outsole indicates it could be.
