The timing of this particular Throwback Thursday post by Tim Howard couldn’t be more timely as Landon Donovan is preparing to play in his last game for the US National team on Friday. And with the type of career that Donovan has had (of his numerous accomplishments, Donovan is the US National Team’s career leader in goals scored and assists and it’s not even close), there’s little doubt that Howard’s message isn’t only touching, it’s correct.
