The UNC Tarheels held their annual Midnight Madness event (officially dubbed “Late Night With Roy”) this past weekend, where students and fans were introduced to this year’s squad through a variety of fun activities and exhibitions on the court.

Among those activities was a lip-syncing contest between team members, a competition that was absolutely dominated by big man Kennedy Meeks. The sophomore forward put on a stirring performance of Whitney Houston’s “I Will Always Love You” and, well, you should probably just watch it because it was fantastic.

You can kind of tell that Meeks is a little nervous as he first steps behind the mic, but that quickly disappears as he absolutely owns the performance and drives the crowd wild. If he plays basketball anywhere near as well as he performs classic love songs, the ‘Heels should be in good shape this season.
