Rob BironasThe toxicology report on Rob Bironas has revealed that the former Tennessee Titans punter’s blood alcohol content level was .218 — nearly three times the legal limit of .08 — on September 20th, the night he was killed in a single car accident. Bironas’ blood also tested positive for traces of valium, although the medical examiner said it wasn’t enough to impair him.

Bironas, who played for the Titans from 2005 to 2013, was reported to have been driving erratically the night of the incident, with a 911 caller and other witnesses claiming a white SUV had attempted to run them off the road. His wife also reported that he had left the house that night without her knowledge. Bironas was killed instantly after his car swerved off the road and hit a tree. Bironas was 36 years old.
