ThunderFor everything the Oklahoma City Thunder franchise does right (basically, the 2007-2009 NBA Drafts), they sure do get a lot wrong. Horribly, inexplicably wrong. The latest blunder is the re-branding of their D-League affiliate, the Tulsa 66ers. The Thunder decided to relocate the 66ers south to OKC, but opted to leave the name 66ers behind (they’re really nice about leaving team names behind when they move them to other cities, ya know). In place of 66ers (not a terrible name, by the way), the Thunder chose…Blue. Yep, the Thunder’s D-League affiliate is a color. Not only that, it appears they outsourced the logo design to a 7th grade art class.
