Cuba Gooding, Jr. attended the Blackhawks’ preseason game in Chicago last night and, as we’ve come to learn, fun things seem to happen when Cuba Gooding, Jr. takes part in NHL festivities.

The actor was invited to take part in a shooting competition on the ice during the second intermission of last night’s contest against the Detroit Red Wings. After successfully managing to slide the puck through one of the small openings in the net on his third and final attempt, Cuba celebrated by stripping off his clothes and parading around like a victorious gladiator.

You know, at least until the guy in the headset was, like, “Sir, put your god damn shirt back on.”

The fans certainly seemed to enjoy the spectacle, as did the broadcast team, who proclaimed that they were “fairly sure we’re not going to top this for the rest of the season” – something that should probably never be uttered during a team’s FIRST PRESEASON GAME.

Anyhoot, Cuba Gooding, Jr. is proving to be the NHL’s resident “wild card” and I couldn’t be more enthralled.
