Ty Burrell was a guest on Jimmy Kimmel Live! and he shared a story of how he was invited to the NFL Draft by the St. Louis Rams to present the jersey to the team’s first round draft pick. Burrell, a life long St. Louis Rams fan, eagerly accepted and flew out to New York for the event.

Then the Rams made their selection – Aaron Donald. Burrell was incredibly happy with the selection and couldn’t wait to go onto the stage and present Donald with his Rams jersey. There was one huge problem though. Donald was, according to Burrell, “the only person projected into the first round who didn’t come to the draft.” Without Donald, there was no reason for Burrell to go onto the stage, thus rendering his anticipation meaningless.

But hey, at least he got a free trip to New York and a backstage pass to the NFL Draft?
