A 50 year old woman, her teenage daughter and another unidentified teen caused $10,000 in damages to a football field at Bedford High School when they applied weed killer to the school’s football field. The prank likely took place over Labor Day weekend according to officials.
Someone’s not winning Mother of the Year for this.
As if that weren’t enough to cause a school officials some headaches, the trio did not simply raze the field with herbicide. They spread out the weedkiller in such a way so that the dead grass would leave an image behind. An image which school superintendent Mark Kleinhaus described as “a very inappropriate, disgusting symbol.”

Groganstown Field home of the Bedford Kicking Mules was attacked by vandals who poured a grass killing agent on the field in a prank that the culprits said they got from the internet.
It displayed the image of male genitalia, around 100 yards long.
The school is working to install new field sod before homecoming festivities occur next week, including the school’s first home football game of the year. Looking at this positively, at least the team will get a brand new field to play on.
