Tim Tebow made his first appearance as a contributor on Good Morning America for his own segment entitled “Motivate Me Mondays.”

In news which will probably shock no one, Tebow was a natural for this kind of piece. As much there was debates as to his merit as a quarterback (at least online), there’s no arguing that Tebow has a knack for talking conversationally with just about anyone. Giving Tim Tebow a camera and microphone to interview ordinary people doing inspirational things is a surefire formula for winning television.

Tebow’s first piece focused on Deven Jackson, a ten-year-old who had both his legs amputated two years prior. Thanks to some donated prosthetics, Devon is still able to pursue his passion in, what else, football. The best thing about the piece is Jackson but Tebow is invaluable in adding some warmth to the interview and he is really good in making sure that Deven is the star of the show.

Tim can still work on his delivery a bit (it sometimes sounds way too much like he’s reading a bedtime story as he narrates) but his interaction with Deven and the crew of GMA demonstrates that Tebow may have found the perfect usage of his charisma and talents here.

“Motivate Me Mondays” with Tim Tebow will be a feature on “most Mondays” on Good Morning America.
