Adrian Peterson has been reinstated by the Minnesota Vikings and will be available to play in Week 3 against the Saints. The team deactivated the All-Pro running back for yesterday’s game against New England and many were expecting his absence from the team to carry through this week, if not for numerous weeks, with some even projecting that Peterson would be released.
The Vikings released a statement regarding the decision, one that left many in complete shock:
If Adrian Peterson wasn't Adrian Peterson he wouldn't be playing. If Rick Speilman had job security he wouldn't stand for him playing.
