The New York Jets caught a serious case of the New York Jets late in their game in Green Bay on Sunday when they shot themselves in the foot by calling a timeout (kind of) just before throwing a long, game-tying touchdown pass on fourth down against the Packers.

The timeout was called by offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg, who doesn’t even have the power to do that – only head coaches are allowed to call for timeouts. As you can see in the GIF below, Rex Ryan was very perplexed.

The Jets then turned the ball over on downs and lost the game, because J-E-T-S JETS JETS JETS!
