Being a kicker kind of sucks, in that if you happen to screw up, you’re forced to shoulder all of the blame. Today, Massachusetts kicker Blake Lucas had a chance to kick a game-tying field goal. Instead, he missed and Vanderbilt walked away with a win.
A Vanderbilt defender, realizing the blame Lucas was going to have to shoulder, offered his sympathies to the kicker — in the form of a hug.
Poor kickers.
