The Clemson Tigers may have lost a lot of starters from last year, but the team should still be competitive under the leadership of coach Dabo Swinney. On offense, the team has some considerable shoes to fill. Quarterback Tahj Boyd and receiver Sammy Watkins are no longer on the team. Instead, the Tigers will have to choose between quarterbacks Cole Stoudt and DeShaun Watson for the starting job under center and wideout Mike Williams will look to fulfill the hole left by Watkins. The defense will be returning a bunch of experienced talent, including seniors Vic Beasley, Grady Jarrett and Stephone Anthony. Still, it’s difficult to say with confidence that the Tigers’ offense will be as good as it was last year with Boyd and Watkins on the roster. Expect the Tigers to do well in the ACC as Florida State is the only other contender but the odds of the Tigers doing much better than that are slim.
