The Red Sox doubled down on Cuban outfielders on Friday morning, signing top free agent Rusney Castillo to a record  seven-year, $72.5 million deal that will run through 2020. Castillo joins fellow countryman Yoenis Cespedes, who the Red Sox acquired at this year’s trade deadline, in Boston’s outfield.

The 27-year old Castillo reportedly hits for contact and power, has solid speed on the basepaths and a great arm in the field. The Red Sox outfield could be a very scary place if they can somehow make their dreams come true and acquire Giancarlo Stanton this winter. A very, very scary place.
