Don’t panic, Bears fans. Brandon Marshall is not retiring from the NFL in order to join a TV show about the NFL. Instead, Marshall will be doing both — playing in the NFL and working for a TV show about the NFL.

Marshall is set to join Boomer Esiason, Phil Simms, Greg Gumbel, and Ed Reed on the cast of Inside the NFL this season. Because NFL teams typically give their players off-days on Tuesdays, and because the show films on Tuesdays, Marshall will be able to fulfill both obligations.

At this point in Marshall’s career, I don’t think anyone needs to worry about a TV show affecting his production. Marshall has been in the league for eight seasons. He’s reached 1,000 receiving yards in all but one of those seasons — his very first one.

And, on the bright side, Inside the NFL will be gaining some valuable insight into the league, as Marshall has recently proved to be incredible well-spoken.

Here’s to Marshall gaining another platform that he can use to increase awareness surrounding the NFL’s mental health crisis.
