I’m not sure if it’s more surprising that only one state believes that Johnny Manziel should start Week 1 for the Cleveland Browns or that the one state isn’t Ohio but here we are. Hell, even ESPN seemed surprised by the results of their own poll. A lot of Texans must fondly remember Manziel’s Texas A&M days.
In his one preseason game as a pro, Manziel went a quiet 7-11 for 63 yards and no touchdowns or interceptions. He also had 27 yards rushing on six attempts.
He’ll have to do better than that to make the other 49 states believe in him as much as Texas obviously does.
