A great feat occurred during Sunday’s contest between the San Francisco Giants and the Kansas City Royals. It featured an awesome display of determination and will that only sporting events can offer.

And it didn’t involve any of the professional baseball players at the game.

Instead, the Hot Dog Derby was where one could find real inspiration because one could see an athlete literally face adversity and rise to the occasion*.

*Try to ignore the obvious hilarity of a walking hot dog losing his pants and falling repeatedly.

The best part about this is that the kid keeps on trying his hardest to win the race, pants be damned. A lot of people would have bowed out on the spot or tried to walk to the finish line without tripping again but the boy really, really wanted to give it his all. This is some ‘heart of a champion’ shit right here.

Of course, the kid got a well-deserved standing ovation from the crowd upon finishing the race.
