You may have seen or heard Danny Nickerson in the news over the past few weeks. The six-year old Foxboro, Massachusetts native has an inoperable brain tumor and, for his birthday this week, he just wanted to be able to go to his mailbox and find a few cards with his name on them.

Instead, support for Danny poured in from all across the country in hopes of making his birthday a special one. Instead of a few cards in his mailbox, Danny received a whole lot more than that:

But Danny’s birthday celebration didn’t stop there. The New England Patriots invited the youngster to travel across town and visit them at minicamp at Gillette Stadium, where Danny was greeted with a welcome message on the jumbotron.

According to the Herald’s Jeff Howe, Nickerson was given a personalized #6 Patriots jersey, a giant birthday card autographed by the entire team, some Patriots-themed LEGOs and a personal tour of the stadium from Patriots owner Robert Craft:

Really, really awesome to see all the love and support Nickerson is getting on his special day. He certainly deserves it. Happy birthday, Danny!
