Ernie Els’ first hole at the British Open was pretty much as bad as it gets. After smashing his tee shot into the crowd and striking a fan, Els put his approach shot into the bunker. After a nice out from the sand, it looked like he had a chance at a decent recovery for bogey.

Then he did this.
