The East York Canada Day Parade livened up on Tuesday after 35-year-old high school teacher Joe Killoran berated controversial Toronto mayor Rob Ford, a power move caught by every news camera.

Killoran, out for a shirtless jog, came upon Ford’s contingent and immediately began slamming the many issues that have plagued him since taking office. Doug Ford, the mayor’s brother, appeared convinced this was an elaborate scheme from a competing campaign.

The response has been overwhelmingly positive for Killoran’s comments against Ford, with #shirtlessjogger clogging up much of the local feedback on Twitter:
