It feels like the NBA season ended just minutes ago and we’re already on to the next round of signature shoes from basketball’s best players.

Today, Nike officially unveiled the the KD7, the seventh model in Kevin Durant’s signature line.

Much like the KD2 and the KD4, the KD7 has a midfoot strap that isn’t really seen on performance basketball shoes that much anymore.

Check out this video with the KD7 designer Leo Chang, which explains the inspiration behind the shoe.

Impressively, the KD7 is available on NikeID, which means that one can already customize a KD7 to their own specifications. This will likely lead to one seeing a thousand ‘Yeezy’ inspired KD7’s before one sees the first official colorway out on the street. The very first version of the shoe, “The July 4th”, will be released tomorrow on June 26th.
