In between Game 1 and Game 2 of the NBA Finals, LeBron James was taking a beating in the press. Cramp-gate and #LeBroning would take a toll on anyone’s mind and LeBron may have needed an escape.

So, what does the best player in the world do to clear his head?

Go to the movies.

Specifically, LeBron was seen by himself, no security or entourage present, at the Palladium Theater on Saturday night in order to see Maleficent. Maybe Angelina Jolie cures all ills.

Without anyone else with him – no security, no friends, nobody, and that almost never happens – James quietly showed up at a theater a couple miles from where the Miami Heat were staying for a 5:40 p.m. showing Saturday of “Maleficent.” And it’s also why he and his regular massage therapist joined two strangers for a yoga class at 8 a.m. Sunday, where he focused on his breathing.

“I needed to get everything right,” James said.

The best part of this little side story is that LeBron tried really hard to go unnoticed as he dressed up in sweats, a plain t-shirt, some sunglasses and a sweater tied around his waist (what is this, the early nineties?). Considering that LeBron’s physique straddles the line between “human” and “cyborg”, there was little chance of LeBron’s movie trip going completely unrecognized.

Maybe before the next match, LeBron will opt for Mirror Mirror or Snow White and the Huntsman to get his mind just right for the critical Game 3 against the Spurs.
